Baker Tilly Win M&A Atlas Awards
Baker Tilly International has been named Outstanding Global M&A Service Provider at the highly regarded M&A Atlas Awards Global Market, recognising the network's dominance in transactions for the mid to small-cap segment.
The awards, presented in New York on Tuesday night, honour outstanding firms, best value-creating deals, top dealmakers and leaders from the corporate, investors and deal communities in small-mid-to-large cap segments.
Chief executive officer and president of Baker Tilly International Ted Verkade said he was delighted with the network's success.
"The award is a reflection of the great work and collaboration of our member firms globally, and their expertise in driving mid-market M&A success," he said.
Global Leader of the network for Corporate Finance, Michael Sonego, said mid-market businesses continued to drive M&A transactions.
"Globally, the trend amongst dealmakers is high demand for mid-market businesses," he said.
"These businesses are seen as low-risk bolt-ons and entrants to new markets, and as such they are attracting significant interest from domestic buyers and cross-border aspirants. It is incumbent upon us, as advisors to these organizations, to provide a seamless service to meet their needs by bringing local knowledge and expertise while leveraging our global network and relationships."
Baker Tilly International has member firms in 147 territories.
"We offer the characteristics of an entrepreneurial local firm, combined with the expertise, strength and resources of a global network, for the benefit of our clients," Mr Sonego said.
