Here was a last farewell message from  Yundyong Thantiviramanon (Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Thailand)

“I was very lucky to be able to meet John.  John is a straight-shooter but, as a friend, he is one of the most amazing people that I ever met.

John and I worked and talked together almost everyday at work for more than 20 years. John was my friend, my mentor, and my full supporter.  My time with John was an incredible adventure, and I will never forget that.

I should mention about Warwick, who is John’s closest friend.  Warwick passed away in 2015, on June 26, which was one day before John’s.

Both of them had an enormous impact to me and Baker Tilly.  We discussed most of our work matter over lunch and wines.  We probably had thousands and thousands of lunches together.  Those lunches were enjoyable and effective, particularly when you have to go to meetings in the afternoon.

Nothing lasts forever.  I think it is almost impossible to replace someone like John in our office.  The only thing we could do is to hang John’s picture with Warwick in our reception and hope that his DNA will still be part of our Baker Tilly Thailand for years to come.  In any case we will miss him dearly.”
