Pathways to the APAC Capital Markets 2026

A comparative guide to IPO and listing requirements across 18 Asia Pacific markets.

Baker Tilly has released the 2026 edition of Pathways to the APAC Capital Markets — a practical reference for companies weighing a public listing, a dual or cross-border listing, or future strategic fundraising across the region. First published in 2022 and developed by Baker Tilly professionals from across Asia Pacific, it sets out a clear, comparative view of how each market works.

This edition compares listing pathways, quantitative entry criteria, corporate governance expectations and ongoing disclosure obligations across the region's major and emerging exchanges, with information current as of 31 May 2026.

Markets covered

The guide provides a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction overview of the region's listing landscape, from established financial centres to fast-growing emerging exchanges.

Australia Bangladesh Cambodia China Colombo (Sri Lanka) Hong Kong India Indonesia Japan Korea Malaysia Nepal New Zealand Philippines Singapore Taiwan Thailand Vietnam

What's inside

A consistent, side-by-side breakdown for each market: the available listing boards, who can apply, the financial thresholds to qualify, and what is expected of a company once it is listed.

Listing criteria

Quantitative entry requirements — paid-up capital, equity, profit track record, free float and public offering size — are summarised for primary and, where relevant, secondary listings.

Corporate governance

Expectations around board composition, independent directors and committees vary widely across the region. The guide highlights what each exchange requires of applicants.

Ongoing disclosure

Listing is the beginning, not the end. The guide outlines periodic and event-driven reporting obligations — financial statements, annual reports and material-information disclosures.

Why Asia Pacific

APAC remains one of the world's most dynamic and diverse capital market landscapes, with each market offering distinct advantages for businesses at different stages of growth.

How to use it

Whether you are preparing for an IPO, evaluating a cross-border listing or planning future fundraising, the guide is a useful first step in understanding the regulatory and commercial dynamics of each market.
